Happy Islay New Year!
Up bright and early to wish you all a Happy New Year! On Islay, Jura, Colonsay, in Scotland, England, Germany, the Netherlands, Japan, Canada, the US, Australia, Israel, Belgium, Romania or whereever else you might be in the world! It will still be a wee while until the sun rises in some of the places, so I thought I welcome the New Year with a sunrise over Machir Bay on Islay:

Now let's hope the first reader (and/or commenter) will be a tall, dark stranger bringing a (virtual?) lump of coal, a cake or coin. And then let's see what this year will bring for Islay, Jura, Colonsay, I'll try to document some of it on this blog.
