Friday Islay Picture #84 - Kilnaughton Bay Beach
Judging from the Port Ellen Islay latest weather reports and a picture of Loch Indaal taken this afternoon the weather on Islay has been mostly quite nice today. Clear, sunny and crisp. So in a way the view I've selected for this week's Friday Islay Picture might have looked similar, although the colours will have been much colder. Another view of Kilnaughton Beach on Islay's south coast in the early evening sun:
Now that picture was taken at the height of summer, in July 2008. Most of the vegetation will be rather brown than green now and there won't be any leaves on the trees. Yet the general view will be the same and in a few months time fresh green will show again, recreating this view.
With that I'm off to bed, I've got a busy weekend ahead. Among other things I'm considering having a go at trying out this recipe for Scotch-Peanut Chocolate Truffles I spotted earlier this week. Yes, results will be blogged provided I'm successful in some form.
