Islay, Mull and the RET in the Scottish Parliament

The video I thought I'd link to today is a bit older, but I found it strangely fascinating to watch (or more listen) to. Or trying to listen and understand what they were saying, for the simple reason that is was in politicianspeak (a language vaguely related to English). The topic was the RET and why Islay and Mull aren't included:

Some of the quotes probably sound strangely familiar if you've read Road Equivalent Tariff - The Full Story from The Ileach on Ron's blog. I guess the same standard answers are just recycled again and again...

And then they're surprised when people are disillusioned with politics?
