Ardbeg Corryvreckan Islay Malt Teaser Video
Not entirely sure if Ardbeg can really still call this a teaser for their latest Islay single malt whisky, after all the news and reviews have been out for a few days now: John Hansell posted his Review: Ardbeg Corryvreckan yesterday, Tim F his Ardbeg Corryvreckan: Exclusive Tasting Notes!! on Friday. Anyway, earlier today I spotted their teaser video for the Ardbeg Corryvreckan on YouTube:
The video provides the link to a website at www.ardbeg.com/twist, although for the time being there's nothing more than the video again. I guess there will be more soon as it appears to have been officially launched: New Ardbeg tipple inspired by dangerous whirlpool.
It's certainly not a cheap whisky, the prices being mentioned seem to be somewhere between £52 (based on a US$ price of $85) and £70, I've also seen £60 being quoted. It also isn't the first Ardbeg of that name, I read there has been an Ardbeg Committee release of it a year or two ago. Apparently it was very popular, although the new price doesn't seem to be.
