Islay from the Air Video Snippets

Islay on Video written in stencil

The highest I've ever been ‘above’ Islay is the top of Beinn Bheigier, Islay's highest hill at 491m. That's obviously nowhere near as high as with a plane, so I'm always pleased when I find some videos of Islay from the air. Recently I came across the website of a TV production company called Skyworks and they have some footage of Islay from the air available on their site:

To start with Islay has a tiny role in their ‘Scotland Showreel’ (can't link to it directly, click on Scotland in the list). The more interesting bits can be found in the huge Skyworks Archive though: A search for Islay produces 12 results. One of my favourites is this shot of Lossit Bay, another one this view of Machir Bay. I'll let you discover the rest (and identify where they were filmed).

Good night for now, too bad I can't really follow up with an equivalent picture tomorrow. But then again…
