Friday Islay Picture #136 - Cliffs at Sanaigmore

Friday Islay Picture in stencil

With the UK terror threat level now at 'severe' we could all be in panic now. Or just ignore it for the rather practically meaningless gimmick I think this is and just enjoy a good Islay single malt. Ideally together with an Islay picture. I guess I better post one then, here you go, something really dramatic, the cliffs near Sanaigmore in the north west of Islay:

Picture of steep cliffs with various levels of erosion

I quite like these cliffs, even though it can be quite exhausting to get to some of the good views. Large areas here are covered in heather, making walking more difficult at least during the summer (this picture was taken on a June evening). I think it's worth the effort.

It doesn't fully come out at the size I can post here, so as usual I will post a larger version (larger as in more than twice as big) on the Islay Pictures photoblog Saturday morning. Until then, relax, enjoy your Islay single malt whisky and of course the picture. Have a great weekend!

PS: Note to self, for next week you need to try to find one from the Oa on which you can see Ireland. Readers request!
