Friday Islay Picture #149 - Gloaming at Kilchoman

Friday Islay Picture in stencil

The end of the month, the end of the (working) week, the end of the day. I thought a picture taken on Islay two weeks ago would be a fitting picture this evening. Coming back from watching a beautiful sunset over Machir Bay (one of the reasons I now usually stay at Kilchoman House Cottages, great sunsets in walking distance) I noticed the still wonderful colours in the sky over Islay:

The first star had just appeared in the sky, if you look very closely you might just be able to make it out towards the right above the clouds at the top. Once it was completely dark the sky was almost white from all the stars (unfortunately I haven't been able to photograph this yet, if that's possible at all).

As usual I will post the larger version (larger as in more than twice as big) on the Islay Pictures photoblog on Saturday morning. You should be able to see the star on it much better.

This weekend is a bank holiday weekend for many people in the UK, at least for England the weather looks mostly horrid. Still, have great long weekend if you get it, otherwise just have a great weekend!
