Friday Islay Picture #152 - Kilchoman Distillery
From what I hear it's been a lovely day on Islay, it certainly has been a lovely evening in Aldermaston Wharf. I've enjoyed some Islay single malt on my "fake balcony" with a great view over Aldermaston Wharf from my "fake balcony". Now it's back to the rather late Friday Islay picture. With the Islay Festival kicking off this weekend I decided to go with one of Islay's youngest distillery, Kilchoman distillery:
I took this picture back in April from the hills just behind the farm, a view I had often thought about but only got round to actually turn into action this year. In this view you also get to see a some of the horses from Rockside farm, they offer horse trekking from here.
Of course I'll post the larger version (larger as in more than twice as big) on the Islay Pictures photoblog on Saturday morning. Until then, good night, enjoy the evening and if you're on Islay the festival!
PS: This post was supported by a wee dram or two of Islay single malt whisky (Laphroaig and Ardbeg to be precise) and Mumford and Sons.
