A Welly Boot on Islay

Islay Pictures in stencil

Over the last few days most parts of the UK including Islay have seen at least some rain, very welcome after the driest spring for a very long time. I think that's also a very good time to revisit a recent visit of a welly boot to Islay:

So why did I write ‘revisit’? Well, that's a long (actually no, not that long) story: I first came across these pictures in Cupcake HQ's Flickr photostream. Among the pictures there are 31 (as of writing this) pictures tagged ‘Islay’, all of which (again as of writing this) depict a welly boot on various beaches on Islay. The next day I found a blog entry Welly the Boot’s Islay Adventure, which I duly mentioned in the Islay Blogging Roundup #127. Hence ‘revisit’.

Now the welly boot isn't a real welly boot, but a money box, which makes it even more quirky. More than enough reasons to give it a special post, I hope you agree?
