Oban to Colonsay Ferry Video
And now for something slightly different. Many visitors to Islay go on the day trip to Colonsay, taking the ferry from Port Askaig to Scalasaig. The main ferry route to Colonsay is from Oban though, and that's what today's video is about. A stormy crossing with some brilliant views, including a nice rainbow and heavy rain over Mull:

I've done that ferry crossing once so far, travelling the other direction, from Colonsay to Oban, though. It's a great way to combine visits to Islay and Colonsay, visit Islay first, then take the Wednesday ferry from Islay to Colonsay. Spend two days on Colonsay including a visit to Kiloran Bay and then take the Friday evening ferry to Oban.
Thinking about it, it should also be possible to do a similar trip the other way around: Take the ferry from Oban to Colonsay on Sunday or Monday, then take the Wednesday evening ferry to Islay.
