Another Snow on Islay Video (and more pictures)

Islay on Video written in stencil

With millions of people having their Christmas travel plans disrupted and many Christmas plans ruined I suspect quite a few people wouldn't mind if the snow were to melt sooner rather than later. Others are dreaming of a white Christmas, although certainly in the UK many Christmas stockings will probably look bare on the big day. Still, the snow on a sunny day can provide some beautiful light and great views, as this latest video of the snow on Islay from ardberger shows:

YouTube: snow at kilnaughton bay

Since the Islay Snow Pictures and Videos entry from early December there have also been quite a few more pictures:

I've already mentioned the Islay snow pictures in Sgeir Mhor's photostream (Becky Williamson), she has now created an Winter 2010 set with over 100 pictures. Some great stuff in there.

Also on Flickr a few nice pictures on ruagaire's account, in particular I like the snowy winter sunset at Islay High School.

Moving over to Jura grahame_uk (Grahame Pettit) has a few snow pictures from Islay's neighbour, including Snow Storm, Craighouse Bay in winter, Craighouse winter scene 17/Dec (hotel & distillery), Jura Stores in the snow and his restaurant, The Antlers, in the snow.

Two nice views of Laphroaig distillery: barrels in the snow and distillery in the snow.

I'm not sure how much of this will be publicly accessible, you might need a Facebook account and you might even need to ‘friend’ them to see the pictures, but there are a few great albums on Facebook:

To start with James Deane, Three days of snow on Islay and More Islay Snow are his albums with some fabulous pictures. Then of course we have Mark Unsworth of Islay Studios fame, he's got Islay as you may not have seen it before..., Islay as you may have not seen it before Vol 2... and After the snow comes the ice, after the ice comes the melt.... to offer. I suspect there's more to follow.

And if you go to Ron's Islay weblog you can check out all entries tagged with ‘snow’ (the most recent ones are at the bottom of the list).

I've got the nagging feeling I've forgotten something, but can't put my finger on it. Should it be your pictures let me know and I'll add them or if I remember I'll post an update.
