Friday Islay Picture #191 - Walker on Natural Arch
This will probably be the last Friday Islay picture before it takes a short break. Why? Well, the 2011 WalkIslay Islay walking week starts in a week, and by law I'm required to attend (at least that's what I always tell my boss when I request the holidays for it). Meaning I will probably go ‘semi-offline’ in a few days in order to take new Islay pictures for you. To get into the mood today's picture is from last years walking week:
I'm not sure if this natural arch has a name and if so what it is (any help would be appreciated!), what I do know is that it is just south of Lossit Bay. In fact, if you look closely you can make out the northern end of the beach to the left of the walkers head.
As usual I will post a larger version of the picture (larger as in more than twice as big) on the Islay Pictures photoblog on Saturday morning. If all goes to plan there will also be a new Islay panorama tomorrow, hopefully of a beautiful but relatively remote beach. With that, have a great weekend!
