Friday Islay Picture #193 - Boats in the Mist

Friday Islay Picture in stencil

Only four weeks to go until my next Islay holiday, which means the Friday Islay picture #200 won't happen for a few weeks longer. In any case, there are still six others to come before I reach that milestone. Today a very hazy view of two boats at Bunnahabhain, well, one of them isn't really a boat any more, just a wreck:

Picture of an anchored boat and a boat wreck on a very hazy day

The wreck is of course the Wyre Majestic, slowly falling apart under the constant work of the weather and the tides. You can actually see the tide swirling around the wreck and rocks. I'm not sure who owns the fishing boat, while I've got a vague idea whose it might be I'll refrain from speculation. The picture is from April 2011, while the hazy weather we had for most of the walking week wasn't great for wide views it created some rather moody and otherwise interesting views.

As usual I'll post a larger version (larger as in more than twice as big) on the Islay Pictures photoblog on Saturday morning. Hopefully another Islay or Jura panorama tomorrow evening, no promises though. Have a great weekend!
