New Maverick Angels CD, No Halo
After the rather busy week in the day job I've spent most of today relaxing and catching up with Google's new social network Google+ (I'm Armin Grewe on Google+). Therefore still no return of the weekly Islay (or Jura) panorama just yet, instead some nice music with an Islay link:
Some of you might remember the On Heavy Rotation: The Maverick Angels CD entry from July 2009, where I belatedly blogged about their first CD. I'm a bit quicker this time, as their second CD was only released at the end of May and I bought it while on Islay in June. It is called No Halo (or may be Nø Hålo, as that's how it looks like on the cover). Same as the first CD it contains seven beautiful tunes, the first one I can share with you thanks to Fraser Shaw (seathach) uploading it to Soundcloud. It's called ‘Get Her Goin’:

After all that's where it was officially launched and even after leaving Islay for Glasgow Fraser won't forget it any time soon. Just ask for it at the bar, they should have a few available. Unfortunately I don't know where else it is available, you can try asking on the The Maverick Angels Facebook page.
