Islay Geology Field Trip Trailer
Just a short video this evening, although judging from the title there might be more existing somewhere. The video in a way is the result of the work of someone a number of people on Islay will know, Alasdair Skelton, who is a Professor at the Geologiska vetenskaper / Geological Sciences institute at Stockholms universitet. A Welsh documentary and factual filmmaker, Nerys Evans, has filmed a documentary about a geology field trip led by Aladair Skelton to Islay:

Some parts are in English, others in Swedish, and the pictures don't need a language, so there should be something for everyone in the Geology Excursion to Islay, Scottland, in April 2011 Blog. For those who need a reminder from where they know Alasdair on Islay, he gave a presentation ‘The Geology Of Islay’ earlier this year and he's quite likely coming back in March 2012, when he will also offer field trips for people on Islay.
