Friday Islay Picture #213 - White-Fronted Geese
Last night I promised there wouldn't be any peat cutting on this blog this evening. A promise I can keep fairly easily. As regular readers know Friday evenings are the time for the Friday Islay picture and as I don't have any pictures of peat cutting (yet) I won't be able to post any in any case. So instead a picture of four White-Fronted Geese (I hope I've identified them correctly…) in flight:
This was somewhere between Kilchoman and Saligo in October 2010, if memory serves me right near the junction to Coull Farm. Not that it really matters anyway. I just felt they deserve a picture as the main talking point at the moment are of course the Barnacle Geese (well over 30,000 so far, I believe).
As usual I will post a larger version of the picture on the Islay Pictures photoblog on Saturday morning. Only fair after two pictures of Barnacle Geese in a row.
Have a great weekend!
