Composition to Exhibition at Islay High

Islay on Video written in stencil

Unfortunately the blog entry I was thinking of for today had to be postponed due to technical difficulties, we should be able to catch up on it over the next few days though. So instead we're going to visit Islay High School tonight to see them working on an arts project as well the final result. To start with the project in progress:

In a two day workshop a lot can be achieved, in particular on Islay when the concept for the project is ‘recognising and celebrating potential opportunities for our islands through harnessing tidal/wave energy’. After all the wave power plant on Islay has been operating for many years now, the tidal power project is well under way. Here is the showcase of the completed art:

The project is also praised in Composition to Exhibition Islay on Learning Technologies News in Argyll and Bute. I've got the funny feeling I've seen it mentioned elsewhere as well, but for some reason can't find it again at the moment (if you know where it might have been, can you post it in the comments? Thank you!).
