Some nice Islay from the air pictures

Islay Pictures in stencil

When my sister flew to Islay this June we had hoped she would be able to take a few nice pictures of Islay from the plane, unfortunately she was sitting on the wrong side of the plane both ways. She still managed to get The Machrie and the Rhinns of Islay from the plane though. Tim was luckier when he flew to Islay and got some great shots:

The quickest way to get to them is probably to look at all pictures tagged Islay in Tim/WINGS Flickr Photostream. I quite like this view of Port Ellen around Loch Leòdamais. There are also two great shots of the southern distilleries: Laphroaig distillery (and the woods) as well as the stretch with Lagavulin, Ardbeg and the southern skerries.

I hope you'll like the pictures, if you know of more feel free to let me know.
