A few Colonsay links and news

Colonsay Excursions written in stencil

Many visitors to Islay also visit the neighbouring Isle of Colonsay. Most probably on the Wednesday day trip, but some also for a few days before or after their Islay visits. Hence the Colonsay Excursion category on this blog. Today a few Colonsay related links I found interesting, some via the Friends of Colonsay Facebook page:

To start with the Colonsay Tourism Industry Survey run by the Colonsay Community Development Company. They would like to learn about the experiences of previous Colonsay visitors to help them improve. It took me about 10 minutes to complete it, may be you can find the time as well?

Something I haven't seen yet is the community garden on Colonsay, you can read a long report (and see a picture) in a report in the Scotsman / Scotland on Sunday, Residents of Colonsay realise their garden dreams. It's only available for a few more days until the 4th of August (and I think probably only in the UK), but it seems to have featured in Beechgrove Garden - 2013, Episode 14.

And finally a video of a flight from Fife to Colonsay in stunning weather:
