Friday Islay Picture #292 - Waterfall at Bachlaig

Friday Islay Picture in stencil

And it's Friday evening again. Time for the Friday Islay picture while kicking off the weekend. I'm listening to a concert by Kings Of Leon live on the internet while sipping a wee dram of Bruichladdich The Laddie Sixteen.

Picture of a small waterfall almost hidden behind a tree

But back to the Friday Islay picture. I've picked another picture from my June 2013 holiday on Islay, from the walk I did with my sister from Bunnahabhain to Rhuvaal and the far north of Islay. This waterfall isn't very far from Bunnahabhain actually, at Bachlaig. Well, at least that's where I think it is, my pictures aren't geotagged so I'm relying on memory (and other pictures taken before and after).

Anyway, while it is a fairly small waterfall I think it is a beautiful one. The slightly hidden location partially hidden behind trees, the shallow pool below it. Only problem were the midges (not visible in the picture, far too small, but still vicious), which instantly stopped any ideas of a quick swim in the pool.

I think I'll leave it at that for tonight, good night and have a great weekend!

Sharing and discussing. Opening up the discussion. Have your say:
