Islay Lifeboat training exercise video

Another video tonight, but I'm taking you back from Jura to Islay. Actually, that's not entirely true. I'm taking you to about half way between Jura and Islay, in the middle of the Sound of Islay north of Port Askaig (where the Islay lifeboat is stationed). After all that's where this video was filmed assuming I identified the location correctly:

This is an RNLI training exercise with a Sea King helicopter from HMS Gannet and the volunteer crew from the Islay Lifeboat Station. I found it fascinating to watch, using the helmet camera made it a very close experience, seeing what they see. Must admit I preferred watching at least part of if from my computer, dangling under a helicopter only held by a cable looks quite scary to me. Just one example of the great courage these amazing volunteers show.
