Friday Islay Picture #372 - Loch Skerrols

While it was short (because of the bank holiday on Monday) this week was rather busy. But that's come to an end now, time to relax over the weekend. And of course a Friday Islay picture. Decided to pick one from a nice walk I did in June on Islay, going into the hills behind Bridgend Woods. This is a view from near Knockdon:

The loch is Loch Skerrols, which is partially artificial with a dam increasing its size. This was done to create a loch with enough water to drive mills at Islay House. That's not required any more, but the dam and with it the loch remains.
