Islay Hotel Panorama October 2008 (+ Bonus)
Some of you might remember my Islay Hotel in Port Ellen panorama series. The series was kicked off back in July, when I posted 3 Islay Hotel Panoramas. A few days later I followed it up with a Bonus Islay Hotel Panorama. Three months later it is finally time for another instalment of the series, here's the preview:
The latest addition to my Islay Hotel Port Ellen Panoramas collection is the Islay Hotel building site Port Ellen, Isle of Islay, October 2008 - 180° Quicktime VR Panorama. The first floor has been completed and the second floor is well under way with the roof scheduled to be completed soon.
With the first autumn storm having passed Islay already and the winter approaching quickly the roof needs to be completed, so that work can continue ‘indoors’ during the winter months. As you can't see the roof very well because of the scaffolding I've decided to post a bonus picture from inside the second floor:
This is one of the future guest rooms on the second floor. I suspect it will be one of the most popular rooms, look closely what you can spot through the window: Yes, that's the former Port Ellen distillery warehouses. On the other side of the room the view goes over Port Ellen Marina...
