Islay Video: Stormy weather in Port Charlotte

It's been a while since my last Islay video, yesterday I finally got my act together for my latest attempt: For this attempt we go to Port Charlotte on a grey and overcast afternoon to watch the sea after a windy night and morning on Islay. It's my first widescreen (16x9) video, I hope you like it:

The version you see above is the lower resolution, for you a much better view you might want to try the HD version: Go to YouTube: Stormy Weather in Port Charlotte, Isle of Islay, then click on ‘watch in HD’ (bottom right corner below the video). It's worth it.

From the description I wrote for YouTube:

After a windy day a fairly big swell was rolling into Loch Indaal on the Isle of Islay, Scotland. The Port Charlotte lighthouse can be seen against a grey and dull sky, waves breaking against the rocks below it.

Waves are breaking over Port Charlotte pier, sending spray high into the air. The birds are undisturbed by the weather and the waves though, resting on the pier wall unimpressed by the waves breaking over the pier. A young couple walks on the pier, carefully avoiding the waves and the spray.

The video finishes with a view south down Loch Indaal, over to The Oa with the American Monument. On the horizon the weather seems to brighten up, better weather ahead for Islay?
