Friday Islay Picture #120 - Port Charlotte Lighthouse and the Paps of Jura

Friday Islay Picture in stencil

Phew, it's Friday evening after a long and very busy week, time to wind down for the weekend to recharge the batteries. Also the time for a regular feature on this blog, the Friday Islay picture. This week with one of my favourite views on Islay (as you can see on the header as well), the view of Port Charlotte lighthouse with the Paps of Jura in the background:

Picture of a small lighthouse with some distinctly shaped mountains in the background

Regular readers will know the drill, I'll post a larger version of this picture (larger as in more than twice as big) on the Islay Pictures photoblog on Saturday morning. It's not always this clear, far from it actually, but when the Paps are visible on a clear evening on Islay I think it's one of the best views in the world.

That's all I have for today, time for a Friday evening dram of a good Islay malt and a bite of chocolate. Good night for now and have a great weekend!
