Barnacle Geese on Islay HD Video
Looks like I timed this fairly well: Ron points out More Geese arrive on Islay and I've finally completed and uploaded my Barnacle Geese on Islay video. While there are other videos about the geese are available (e.g. Choughs & Barnacle Geese - Arran & Islay 2009 from Speyside Wildlife or Islay Geese from Ron) I wanted my own version of it, my own take. I also thought the geese and Islay deserved a High Definition (HD) video, so here it is:

Almost all of the material in the video is from October 2008 (some of the stills are from October 2007 and a tiny video part is from April 2009), so I decided to call the video ‘Barnacle Geese on Islay 2008’. It's really more general though, I'm trying to point out some good places to watch them and provide a few impressions mainly of the amazing sights and experience when they come in to roost in the evenings. Unfortunately the week I had in October 2008 was rather stormy and wet, so not all the material is as good as I would have liked. Still, I'm quite happy with the results and hope you will like the video as well.
The small size I can embed here doesn't really do it justice, I highly recommend watching ‘Barnacle Geese on Islay 2008’ on YouTube at full size, if possible at High Definition (HD).
