Islay's Tir nan Og Nominated for Sustainable Design Award

About two to three weeks ago I came across a nice looking new holiday cottage on Islay. I bookmarked the website, thinking that I might find a reason one day to write more about it. That day came yesterday when I came across an entry on the For Argyll website:

The entry is called Argyll’s Sustainable Design Awards 2009: VOTE, it lists the nominations in one of the categories of the Argyll and Bute Sustainable Design Awards 2009. The Awards are in four categories:

The only nomination from Islay I've spotted is in the Small Scale Residential category and is the holiday cottage I've mentioned at the start. It's called (well, you know that from the headline, but finally here's the link) Tir nan Og. If you like it you can cast your vote in the Small Scale Residential Vote until Friday 27/Nov/2009.

I quite like the general design and layout of the house, also the views are stunning. I'm not entirely convinced of the interior, it looks a bit too much ‘design magazine’ to me personally. But then (luckily) tastes differ.

Will it get your vote?
