Friday Islay Picture #131 - Contrasts at Machir Bay

Friday Islay Picture in stencil

Today is a picture day for me. With all the snow down here in the south of England (actually, it wasn't that much in the Aldermaston Wharf area) I went out for a long run and took a few pictures of snow at the Kennet & Avon Canal. Now it's time for the Friday Islay Picture you will be expecting. Today I've picked a picture I took in October 2008 of rather dramatic weather over Machir Bay:

Picture of a bay on a stormy day, bright sun on one side over the beach, black clouds on the other side over the water

I like the dramatic contrast between the bright sun over the dunes and beach against the dramatic dark clouds coming in over the sea. As usual I will post the larger version (larger as in more than twice as big) on the Islay Pictures photoblog on Saturday morning. I think it looks even more dramatic in bigger.

That's all for this evening, time for a Friday evening dram of Islay single malt. Have a great weekend!
