Furniture from Islay

Islay News in stencil

While almost all the talk in the UK this evening will be about Gordon Brown resigning as Prime Minister and David Cameron becoming the new Prime Minister I'm going to write about something different, some interesting news from Islay. Justin Ruthven-Tyers sent me a note about his furniture making at Torrabus Farmhouse yesterday, I think the best way is for him to introduce it himself:

You can find a lot more information about his philosophy and his furniture on his Justin Tyers Heirloom Furniture from Islay website. From the furniture page I in particular like the Spalted Beech coffee table, even though I don't have the space for it and it is sold already anyway. Still, I like the colour, shape and uniqueness of it.

So what do you think of Justin's furniture? What's your favourite piece of furniture from Islay and why?
