Friday Islay Picture #154 - Beach Rugby Action
While I posted quite a few Islay pictures since the last Friday Islay picture there hasn't been an ‘official Friday Islay picture’ since the end of May. Time to bring it back. On Tuesday I posted the Islay Beach Rugby 2010 Video Highlights, here's a still picture of some of the beach rugby action:
Those four were actually playing for two of the local distillery teams, Bruichladdich distillery (on the left) -vs- Ardbeg distillery (on the right with the ball). While Ardbeg won the tournament in the end I don't think this move led anywhere though, the next picture I have I think shows a successful tackle by a Bruichladdich player.
As usual I will post the larger version (larger as in more than twice as big) on the Islay Pictures photoblog on Saturday morning. In addition I'm hoping to bring quite a few more pictures online this weekend, if all goes to plan I should hopefully have an album with a few dozen of the better pictures my sister and me took that day ready by latest Sunday.
For now I wish you a great weekend, I'm starting it with a few strawberries and a wee dram of Bruichladdich PC8 Islay Single Malt.
