Another Jura panorama, Beinn Shiantaidh
Last weekend I took you to Jura for the new Jura panorama of the view from Beinn an Oir. Before I return to an Islay panorama next weekend (at least that's my current plan) I thought I take you to Jura again this weekend. On the same day I climbed Beinn an Oir I also went up Beinn Shiantaidh, so this weekend's addition to my Isle of Jura panoramas collection is a 180° Quicktime VR panorama of the view from Beinn Shiantaidh, the second highest of the Paps of Jura. Here's a tiny preview:
As you can't really see that much in the small preview above (and for those of you without Quicktime on their computer) here's a larger jpg picture version of the Beinn Shiantaidh 180° summit panorama of the Paps of Jura. Of course this doesn't give you the explanation you'll get with the Quicktime panorama, but it's still nice.
I climbed Beinn Shiantaidh after descending from Beinn an Oir where I had been first. I didn't stay for too long for two reasons: First of all I still had to get back to the car and then back to the ferry, making sure I'd catch the ferry as otherwise I would have been stuck on Jura for the night. Second there was a fierce cold wind blowing, making it rather uncomfortable. Still, I managed to take a few pictures including a few panoramas. This one is my favourite of the panoramas.
I hope you'll enjoy this as much as the previous one. Planning to return to Islay for the next panorama.
