Great Moment at Islay Beach Rugby 2011
One of the reasons I went to Islay in early June was of course the Islay Beach Rugby tournament in Port Ellen. Unlike the last two years where I recorded videos of the beach rugby I only took pictures this year. Luckily others were to hand to record one of my favourite moments of the day on video (I only managed a few quick pictures), a really magic moment. I don't know his name (although from the video title I'm guessing he's called Leo) but a young boy had his own special introduction to Islay Beach Rugby. Fully kitted out with his own team rugby shirt he was allowed to join in one of the games (against Islay 2, watch out for familiar faces) and even scored a try:

While each match is hard fought there is also a strong fun element, I just love how everyone joins in the moment. He certainly received a lot of attention and applause. Here he is with his team in the team photo:
PS: Careful readers might notice that I haven't mentioned the team name. Simple reason: I don't know. With so many teams participating I can't remember them all. If you can help please leave a note in the comments.
