Friday Islay Picture #222 - Windblown Sand in Machir Bay
So there we are, the last Friday in 2011 and therefore the last Friday Islay picture for 2011. Which happens to be the Friday Islay picture #222. A worthy number I think. Not planned, pure coincidence. Which view did I pick for this picture? Of course one of my favourite places on Islay, Machir Bay:
I love the sight of the sand being blown across the beach on a breezy day, although I've always found it difficult to capture it in a picture. Hopefully this at least does it some justice.
As usual I'll post a larger version of the picture on the Islay Pictures photoblog on Saturday morning, which then will also be the last picture for this year on the photoblog. After that I'll have to figure out a post worthy to end the year on this blog. Until then, good night for now…
