Islay Returns to the British Birdfair
OK, it's not really an event on Islay, but there will be an Islay presence. After the first appearance of Islay on the British Birdfair last year there will be a return this year. From tomorrow, Friday 17/Aug/2012 to Sunday 19/Aug/2012 you can find the Isle of Islay team at stand 14 in Marquee 1 at Rutland.
While the British Birdwatching Fair (Birdfair) is of course primarily about birds and birdwatching the Islay team will bring a bit more to the table: There will be a free draw to win a stay in a holiday cottage on Islay (just be careful, Islay is addictive, last year's winners have already been to Islay twice now…) and of course you will be able to sample a wee dram of Islay single malt whisky (or Bruichladdich gin if you prefer).
