Friday Islay Picture #259 - Musicians at the Port Charlotte Hotel
Two weeks to go until this year's Islay Sessions, so I thought I post a topical picture. This isn't from last year's sessions (the picture is from June 2011, when I also filmed the Traditional Music at the Port Charlotte Hotel, Islay video) but as it shows musicians performing traditional music on Islay I thought it would be fitting for tonight:
Today in two weeks we'll see similar scenes all over Islay, musicians performing in the various hotels and pubs across the island. I'll be there as well if all goes to plan (listening, not playing), really looking forward to it. But for now all there's left to say is:
