Two years of Andrew and Alison at The Bowmore House
Something a bit different today. I hope they won't see this tonight (or at least not until later), as I hope they've taken the evening off to celebrate, may be with a nice meal. Just over two years ago I blogged Friday Islay Picture #201 - The Bowmore House about the end of the old life for Andrew Jackson (I'm not entirely sure of the date for Alison). This morning I spotted the following celebratory tweet:

In case you're wondering about the discrepancy in the dates, my entry was at the end of Andrew's old life, the new life on Islay for Andrew and Alison started five days later. They've now been running The Bowmore House Bed & Breakfast for two years, having stayed in touch in particular with Andrew I know a challenging yet also rewarding time.
I know they have put a lot of work into it but from both feedback I've heard from other people and from a very nice stay I had myself last year it has paid off and I think they are doing a tremendous job. Congratulations Andrew and Alison and may your success continue!
Andrew quite enjoys the sunsets from Bowmore (just check out his Twitter and Facebook feeds), so I'm going to close with a picture of Bowmore with The Bowmore House in the evening light:
