Islay Sessions 2013 next weekend
Less than a week to go now to the 2013 edition of the Islay Sessions, which will kick off with a Family Ceilidh at 19:30 on Friday 8/Nov. I've mentioned some of the artists in the First hints about the Islay Sessions 2013 entry a few weeks ago, now the 2013 poster has been launched:
The Family Ceilidh is an interesting new idea, a nice addition to the workshops, the Grand Concert and the sessions at the Islay Hotel in Port Ellen, the Port Charlotte Hotel and the Bridgend Hotel. Also good to see that the sessions are not parallel any more, gives people more chances to listen to music.
To give you an impression of what to expect here are Ross Couper and Tom Oakes playing in a pub (don't worry about the strange view at the start of the video, you get to see them playing after about 01:30min):
