Friday Islay picture #310 - Heron in Loch Indaal

After the wisdom teeth removal caused break last week (I've pretty much recovered now, still slightly careful but eating and drinking almost normal now) it's time for the first Friday Islay picture of 2014. Running a bit late after a failed attempt at meteor shower photography earlier this evening, here's a completely unrelated Heron looking for food:

I can't remember where exactly this was, but from the pictures taken before and after I know it was somewhere between Bridgend and Bruichladdich on the north western side of Loch Indaal. I somehow like Herons, I think they are quite impressive birds. Also interesting to watch them wading looking for food.
