New Islay video: Saligo Bay from the air, the director's cut

Islay on Video written in stencil

That's a fairly productive weekend slowly coming to an end. This afternoon I went for a walk at a local nature reserve (seeing Long Tailed Tits. And a distant Peregrine Falcon.) while at home my latest Islay video was uploading to YouTube. Following on from last weekend's Saligo Bay from the air teaser I managed to complete the full version (which in a fit of megalomania I decided to label ‘Director's Cut’) of the Saligo Bay from the air video:

YouTube: Saligo Bay, Isle of Islay, from the air - Directors Cut

I highly recommend to watch in HD, makes it look so much better. I'll let you judge if I was successful (feel free to let me know in the comments or via email), I tried to tell a short story in the video: Arrival over the dunes, a few low level passes for a closer view, climbing to a higher altitude, wide angle views over the bay and dunes and finally departure back over the dunes. For the sound I decided to mostly stay ‘natural’ again, as I'm not a big fan of music in videos like this. Partially because it's legally dodgy ground, but more importantly because there's no music in these places in the real world either, there's just the sound of the wind, waves and wildlife.

Opening up the discussion. Have your say:
