Islay Hotel Winter Slowdown

With the days getting quite short now on Islay it is no surprise that progress at the former Islay Hotel in Port Ellen is slowing down. This week there will only be about 7 hours of daylight each day, combined with the bad winter weather that doesn't leave much time for building work. Meaning there hasn't been too much progress since last week, latest view in this panorama:

The site has been dried after the ‘floodings’ of last week, main progress seems to be in the area where the seminar and meeting rooms in the basement will be.

Having been able to create a panorama from the three pictures I was sent I thought it might be interesting to compare it to a panorama from a similar viewing point I took during my visit to Islay at the end of October:

Quite a lot of progress in those 7 weeks! I'm not sure if and how much of these entries the guys working on the site on Islay get to see, I hope this comparison gives you a nice view of how much progress you have made. I assume you will take your Christmas and New Year break soon, have a good rest!
