Islay Hotel Gable Painted

Picture of an under construction hotel

With my father and my sister now both safely back in Germany I hope to find some more time for some good Islay blogging and website work (certainly if the weather here in Aldermaston Wharf stays as unsummerlike as it is at the moment). Even though they are kind of outdated now I'm still planning to create the Islay Hotel in Port Ellen panoramas from my visit in June. Until then some much more recent pictures from last week: When I wrote the Quick Islay Hotel Update just over a week ago I noticed the gable end in Charlotte Street hadn't been painted. Was that the plan or was it going to be painted?

Late last week I received the answer to the unasked question in the form of two pictures (sorry for the delay in posting while my sister was here). It has now been painted as well:

A closer look at the guys, doing a great job:

I think that's all for now, hopefully more soon. Fingers crossed I can get the panoramas done by the end of the week...
