Great Islay and Jura 360° Panoramas

When I wrote my review of 2009 on IslayBlog.com one of the topics was Islay panoramas, mentioning Noel Jenkins' 360° Islay Panoramas and the 20 Immersive Islay Panoramas. Should I have the same category in the 2010 review I think I've already found a candidate for the list. Not only that, it covers both Islay and neighbouring Jura, in particular Jura:

But let me start with a ‘three in one’ Islay 360° panorama. It's called Mull of Oa, Islay, Inner Hebrides, Scotland and takes you on a walk around the American Monument. It is really three 360° panoramas, cleverly linked together in one file. To navigate between the panoramas you need to find the ‘Hot Spots’, which you then click to move into the other panorama. The easiest way to find them is to switch on ‘Show Hot Spots’, to do that click on the little upward pointing arrow with the question mark in the bottom left corner (next to the -/+ zoom buttons). They should then show up like in the screenshot above. Enjoy the walk on the cliffs of The Oa on brilliant sunny day!

Now over to Jura, to Jura fullscreen by z360.com to be precise. On this fantastic minisite you'll find (if I counted correctly) 17 360° panoramas and 14 large still images. They cover Jura from the far north with the Corryvreckan whirlpool, the centre with Loch Tarbert, the south east with a Clyde Puffer at Craighouse pier all the way to the south with Jura House (incl a view over to Islay). And that's just four out of the 17. A really great site and a labour of love by Douglas Cape! Pour yourself a wee dram (may be of Isle of Jura to stay with the topic?) and enjoy Jura fullscreen.

Via Carl Reavey (CReavey) who first pointed out the Jura page (which then led me to check if there were also Islay panoramas on the site).
