A visit to An Cladach Bothy, Islay
![Does exactly what it says on the label: This post contains Islay pictures of some sort Islay Pictures in stencil](../images/islay-pictures.gif)
While I haven't stayed in it over night yet I've visited An Cladach bothy at the Sound of Islay a couple of times. I don't have any experience in bothys, but I'd still hazard a guess that it must be one of the best bothy locations in Scotland. Last year I mentioned Will MacGregor's Impressions from An Cladach Bothy, recently I came across Kevin Campbell's pictures from two weeks ago:

You can find the pictures on Kevin Campbell's flickr account, in the An Claddach set to be precise. Judging from some of Kevin's other sets he seems to be visiting bothys quite regularly. But back to the topic, my favourites from his visit to An Cladach include the Hebridean Isles passing in the Sound of Islay, this wonderful roaring fire in the fireplace and the dog taking a rest. Generally looks like they had a good time.
I don't know yet when I'll next visit An Cladach, but hopefully I can fit in a visit some time this year. Until then I'll have to see if I can create a QTVR panorama for my More 180° Quicktime VR Islay panoramas collection from the WalkIslay 2009: Lunch at An Claddach Bothy, Sound of Islay picture. You'll see on Saturday evening if I was successful.
