Friday Islay Picture #190 - Walking along River Sorn

Friday Islay Picture in stencil

Sorry it's a bit late, but I thought I better post again today. Yes, of course this morning's post James Bond Movie to be filmed on Islay? was this years April Fools on this blog. Same as there won't be a Portnahaven Distillery I don't think there will be a James Bond movie on Islay (or Jura) any time soon. Of course, never say never. At least the canal/river does exist, this is a hundred yards further up:

This is the River Sorn flowing through the South Lodge Plantation at Bridgend, the pictures are from the Islay walking week 2010. I can't take full credit for the idea either, while I can't remember clearly who (Ken may be?), someone else planted the basic idea in my mind when we walked along it. When it came to coming up with something for this year's April Fools it resurfaced and I just expanded on it.

I hope you enjoyed this year's April Fools, I also enjoyed James' Limited Edition Specials. If you're aware of any other Islay related ones please let me know, I haven't had much time yet to look. As usual I'll post a larger version of the picture on the Islay Pictures photoblog on Saturday morning. Good night and have a great weekend!
