Islay Pipe Band - Grade 3A European Champions

It's not breaking news as the event happened a few days ago, but I wanted to wait until there was something to watch and listen to. Yesterday evening the ever reliable islay1011 YouTube account delivered. Here is the Islay Pipe Band on their way to winning the European Championship in Grade 3A:

That's right, the Islay Pipe Band are Grade 3A European Champions 2011! What a fantastic success! Congratulations!

For the detailed results go to the European Championships 2011 page on the RSPBA website and scroll down to Grade 3A. That's where you also find that the drummers won the best drum corps. In addition the lowest placement was 3rd, which helped them win against Manor Cunningham who came second.

I don't know how the grade system works, but it made me wonder how long until the Islay Pipe Band will be promoted to Grade 2?
