Islay Pipe Band at Cowal 2011
Yay, another Music Wednesday with music from Islay. Well, Cowal. But from the Islay Pipe Band. Just what I needed after a veeery long day at work. Here we go, as usual reliably delivered by islay1011 on Youtube:

I believe they're playing the 'March, Strathspey and Reel' here, on their last event for this season. They finished fifth in Grade 3A according to the Cowal Pipe Band Championships 2011 Results page, unfortunately no details are published here.
There will be a review of the season on the pipe band website at some point I guess. From my outsiders point of view it seems to have been another very successful season, the highlight of course becoming Grade 3A European Champions. If I'm not mistaken they've improved their results in almost all competions they competed in. I understand some results didn't go they way they had hoped, fingers crossed they will next season!
