Islay Blogging Roundup #287

Islay Blogging Roundup in stencil

Sunday evening after a very nice sunny day in West Berkshire. Spring seems to make good progress down here. But now it's time for the Islay mentions in the blogs this week:

To start a few Islay whisky posts: Whiskyfun has Quite a bunch of Bruichladdich and the Whiskyadvocate talks to Georgie Crawford of Lagavulin Distillery — In 140 or Less. After Scotland 2013: Islay to London Jordan writes News from Bruichladdich: Rémy's First Big Slip-Up and Whisky Review: Lagavulin Distillers Edition 1996/2012. On the Bruichladdich blog we can read about Traditional Craftsmen. A Finnish whisky blog writes about the Blackadder Smoking Islay Raw Cask July/2013 and the OMC Ardbeg 36YO: 60th Anniversary Bottling. K&L Uncorked writes Kilchoman: The True Craft Distilery.

James reports from his First Walk of the 40s. Gordon Homer writes Islay Visits goes West……. Even More Further West Than Usual !

As usual there was quite a lot of birdwatching and wildlife, on the Islay Birds blog we find the monthly count from Bowmore to Gartbreck, a variety of sightings from different people and birdwatching on a spring day. On the INHT blog we can read about More Fenceposts and A bit more of spring. Amy writes about creative fencing and a walk on the Rhinns of Islay. On the RSPB Islay blog Mark claims 'tis the season to be flying north after asking Where's Wally?, related to Man vs Sheep.

To finish of course the pictures as usual: James Collett has The Big Strand Sunset and Ron the Bridgend Tower on a sunny spring day. Paul Hollingworth shares pictures from Port Askaig. Amy watched a beautiful sunset at Loch Indaal. From my own Islay Pictures photoblog I've picked Two walkers at Killinallan Point, Misty April morning at Kilchoman church and Beautiful April 2012 morning in Machir Bay, Isle of Islay.

That is all for this week, good night!

Sharing and discussing. Opening up the discussion. Have your say:
