Huge Islay (and Scotland) Photo Gallery

Picture of the old Islay Hotel with a biker cycling through the arch next to it

This entry comes with a health warning for those readers on dial-up or another slow connection. I had mentioned timmy p in my recent Islay Blogging Roundup. He had visited Islay recently, just before the Islay Hotel was demolished. He sent me the picture in this entry of the hotel, where they briefly stopped on arriving in Port Ellen. But now to the main reason for this entry and the reason for the health warning for those with a slow connection:

Scotland gallery up is the title of the latest entry on the blog, the entry links to the single speed/single malt tour 2007 gallery. Fortunately for me who can't get enough pictures of Islay and unfortunately for people with a slower connection it is rather huge. It takes a wee while to download, but it is certainly worth the wait.

There are lots of pictures from Islay, including Port Ellen, the three southern distilleries (Laphroaig, Lagavulin, Ardbeg), Islay sheep, heather, Kintra, the High Road, down the hill to Port Askaig (with rainbow), Port Askaig and finally the Sound of Islay. Took me quite a while to get through all of them, but really enjoyed them!

There are also a few pictures from other places in Scotland including Arran, Loch Ness, Inverness and Glasgow. I haven't looked at those in detail yet, Islay obviously having first priority.

PS: Apologies for the lateness of this entry today, I was distracted by a great result for Scotland. Congratulations, I hope they'll go all the way now!
