Friday Islay Picture #80
Friday! Weekend! Time for the Friday Islay Picture! It's been a rather dull, grey and wet week down here apart from a few hours today, I think Islay fared slightly better. Keeping with that dark theme I'm going to give you a rather dark Islay picture today. Not because it was taken during a horrible day on Islay, no, it was a very nice day, but fairly late in the evening:
In case you don't recognise it, that's the ruin of Kilchoman Church, on the left the Kilchoman Cross. It was taken on the same day as the ones I posted as Friday Islay Picture #72 and Friday Islay Picture #71, having returned to Kilchoman House Cottages after a wonderful evening at Saligo Bay.
I quite like this view, just the silhouette of the church and the cross against the blue sky during the blue hour, or the gloaming.
